Northern Tigers has a proud history of promoting promising young players into the senior set-up, and last weekend saw a continuation of this ethos as Nick Drummond, Molly Reckless and Tayla Bondy (pictured left to right) made their First Grade debuts!
Tasked with stepping into the role vacated by captain and Matildas representative Servet Uzunlar, 17-year-old Molly looked at home in the heart of defence for Women’s First Grade on Sunday. During the latter stages of the second half Molly was replaced by 16-year-old Tayla (Northbridge junior) who played with confidence as the team sealed a 9-2 win.
Nick (Wahroonga/Turramurra United junior) featured heavily for our Grand Final winning Under 20s last season and was rewarded with a starting debut by coach Adam Hett for Men’s First Grade on Saturday night. The 20-year-old marked his debut with a goal as the team came away with a 3-0 win!
