It was a strong weekend of results for all of our programs this weekend as the business end of the season draws closer.
Saturday afternoon at Lambert Park saw our Youth NPL players take on APIA Leichardt in four hotly-contested matches. Our Under 15’s collected three points, while neither team could break the deadlock in the Under 14’s fixture. Our Under 13’s and Under 16’s unfortunately finished on the wrong side of the scoreline in their matches but still showed great promise in their performances!
At NTRA, our Men’s NPL hosted Parramatta FC and made a fantastic start to the afternoon as our Under 18’s hit five past the visitors. Another five-goal game followed in the Under 20’s, this time our boys finished on the winning side of a 3-2 thriller! First Grade saw Liam McConaghy notch up his tenth of the season in a great first half but Parramatta produced an improved second half to split the points.
On Sunday our Women’s NPL were back at NTRA against Bankstown City. It was a strong start to the day in the younger age groups, picking up seven points from nine and scoring plenty of goals – special mention to Saba Murray who scored all four in the Under 17’s 4-1 win!!! It was tough going in the seniors, with Reserve Grade losing 2-0 and First Grade picking up a 2-2 draw against a team fighting hard to avoid relegation.
