Northern Tigers’ U17 player, Saskia Horley, has recently been offered a professional cricket contract with Cricket NSW and will be playing with the NSW Lendlease Breakers in 2017/2018. She is an all-rounder, bowling off-spin and batting in the top to middle order.
Saskia has represented NSW in cricket from the age of 11, firstly in the PSSA NSW team, then for 3 years in the NSW U15s and she is now in her 4th year playing in the NSW U18 Metro team. She will Captain NSW Metro at the U18 National Championships in Canberra in November. She is part of the Gordon Women’s cricket team who won the SCA Women’s First Grade competition last season in both the 50 over and T20 formats when Saskia was named “Player of the Final”.
She is also hoping to pick up a contract with the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) for the upcoming season starting in early December. Keep an eye out for her on TV!
Unfortunately, part of Saskia’s contract is the stipulation that she is not permitted to play football so she has had to retire from the Northern Tigers after 8 years of representative football.
We wish Saskia the best of luck in her future endeavours! ... See MoreSee Less
Saskia Horley congrats my girl
Great work and good luck for your future dreams
Wow what a amazing grandaughter you have norma & what a ride saskia is to embark on !
Amazing, she’ll be playing for Australia Ladies soon Gavin N Gilly 😀🏏
What an achiever!!
I like to think Ive contributed to Saskia's development as a cricketer over the years. Her attendance at Pigs cricket every Saturday has shown her what NOT to do in order to be successful !! Very well done.
She also has given her valuable time to coach my daughter before her own training sessions..what a dead set champion. Go Sas..❤️❤️❤️
Well done Saskia👍
