Women’s NPL

The Football NSW Women’s NPL is the top tier of women’s football in New South Wales. The competition consists of ten teams competing in Reserves, and First Grade in a round-robin structure where each side plays one another two times; upon completion, a Premier is crowned.

The Women’s NPL Club Championship, which determines the promotion and relegation of clubs between NPL and NPL 2, is calculated using the competition points obtained by each club's First Grade and Reserve Grade teams.

With momentum from the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™, Football NSW launched the new Sapphire Cup knockout competition for the 2023 season.

Stephen Focused on Sapphire Cup Clash

“With this being Northern Tigers’ second final in the last two seasons, everyone involved within the club is excited for the opportunity to perform on the day and win a trophy for this remarkable club.”

With no finals football this year, Stephenson’s side has been able to focus solely on the Sapphire Cup final.

Tigers Legend Josie Wilson Gearing Up for the Huge Sapphire Cup Clash

“The team is very excited ahead of the first-ever Sapphire Cup final,” the Tigers vice-captain said.

“After missing out on NPL NSW Women’s semi-finals by 1 point, we are out to prove a point and are really wanting to come away with the win.”
