Congratulations to Kai Denton on becoming the all-time leading goal scorer for Northern Tigers. Denton has now scored 70 goals for the club, surpassing the previous record of 62 goals set by Tom “Spanner” Spencer – a milestone that stood for more than 15 years.
A product of the Northern Tigers junior system, Kai represented the club from U13s through to U18s before returning in 2024. During his time at the club, he has claimed the league Golden Boot award in both 2023 and 2025. This remarkable achievement further cements Kai Denton’s place as a Northern Tigers legend.

Paul Davies, who has 208 first-grade appearances, joined the team pre-match today as Denton was presented with a match ball from the Australia Cup Round of 32 Match last season, signed by the first-grade squad.
Marc Messina spoke to the consistency and dedication of Denton over the past four seasons which has seen him score 69 goals, winning two league golden boot awards.

The team drew 1-1 against Western City Rangers on the day of the celebrations, in which Denton scored another goal to extend his record.
