FROM THE COACH – Jason Eagar
What’s been the team’s best performance (or performances) so far this season?
The best performance is still to come. To date we have not put in a complete performance for 90 minutes, we have been guilty of starting games slowly and playing catch up. I’ve been impressed by our relentless never give up attitude (Trademark #4) that has resulted in some courageous and dramatic fight backs so far this season. It is great to have that quality in the team, but it would be nice to only call on it occasionally!
What is the team’s biggest strength heading into the rest of the season?
The team has great unity and we have a lot of depth in the squad. I am confident that any player in the 1st Grade squad can do the job required when called upon, for that matter a number of the U20s and U18s could also contribute. This creates competition for places and ultimately will deliver stronger individual and team performances. We aim to make the training environment harder than match day, work harder at training than our opposition, take no short cuts.
What match or matches are you looking forward to the most?
The next match!
