Tigers Duo Sign on for National Youth League

With the National Youth League kicking off this weekend, Northern Tigers FC would like to congratulate two of our players on joining A-Legaue clubs.

Goalkeeper Elliot Carwardine joins Western Sydney Wanderers FC, while striker Jordan Smylie (Berowra FC local junior) links up with Central Coast Mariners.

Technical Director Jason Eagar on Elliot: “Elliot is a long term Northern Tigers player, having spent five seasons at the club developing his craft from the Under 13’s.”

“He has a first class attitude that will serve him well as he enters the professional environment at Western Sydney Wanderers.”

“Gaining exposure playing First Grade as a 17-year-old at Northern Tigers this season showcased Elliot’s potential to the A-League clubs, providing opportunities for young players is an integral part of our player development strategy”

Eagar on Jordan: “Jordan has been on the Central Coast Mariners’ radar for a few seasons, I wish him all the best in pursuing a career as a professional footballer.”

“Jordan has spent the last three seasons at Northern Tigers, gaining valuable 1st Grade experience in 2017 as a 17-year-old.”

“Northern Tigers has a very strong player development philosophy, providing opportunities and a platform for young players like Jordan to take the step to the next level.”
