As the dust settles on our 2026 Men’s and Women’s First Grade season, there is so much to be proud of.
Men’s First Grade
2026 was a season to remember. We finished with the best defensive record in the league, took 13 points from the final 15 available to secure 2nd place, welcomed record crowds at NTRA, and achieved the highest Tigers Men’s league finish in 14 years.
From day one, we have trusted in this squad, utilising our depth and allowing our youth to step up. 9 NSFA junior players and 11 Tigers junior players were represented in the First-Grade squad, alongside several youth players who made their competitive First Grade debuts.
Whilst the result on Saturday was not what we wanted, we hold our heads high knowing that this was a season to be proud of. Congratulations to head coach Milad Popalzay, captain Lachie Lloyd, the coaching staff, and playing group, on everything that they have achieved throughout the season.
Women’s First Grade
Congratulations to our Women’s First Grade team on another strong season, competing in the NPL and making an impressive run in the Sapphire Cup.
The Tigers finished 5th in the league, missing out on a place in the finals by one spot, and competing throughout the season. In the Sapphire Cup, the team reached the Semi-Finals, a run to be proud of.
2026 was a season that celebrated the next generation, with several Tigers juniors and NSFA locals given the opportunity to step up and play First Grade football. Many of these players have been part of the club throughout their junior careers, highlighting the strength of the pathway from grassroots football through to the senior game.
We’re incredibly proud of the opportunities being created for young female players and the continued growth and strength of women’s football across the Northern Suburbs.
