Over the weekend, Ally Brown cemented his place as a legend of the Northern Tigers, making the record number of first-grade appearances for the club. Ally played his 209th match in the green and white against Hurstville Zagreb on the weekend, overtaking the previous record of 208 held by another club legend, Paul Davies.
Northern Tigers juniors joined the celebration pre-match as the club recognised the fantastic achievement of Ally. CEO David Taylor and assistant coach Marc Messina spoke on the character, ability and loyalty shown by Ally to reach such a huge milestone.
Ally captained the team to the victory on the day, with a second half winner from Jesse Spang helping to mark the momentous occasion with a win.
