KA

In a significant achievement, former Northern Tigers player and current coach, 21 year old Kealey Adamson was named as part of the Subway Australian U23s squad for a domestic training camp in November 2024.

Kealey is a rising star of Australian football who has made significant strides in both his playing career and his role as a coach. While his professional player journey continues to develop, Kealey is also making a meaningful impact at Northern Tigers FC, where he serves as the U13s Boys coach. His dual involvement in the A-League Men as a player for Macarthur FC and in youth coaching reflects his commitment to the game, both on and off the field.

Kealey’s football journey began at a young age. He played his junior football at Lindfield FC. He was playing for Lindfield FC when identified by Northern Tigers FC youth coaches Frank Horn and Volker Buhl.

In 2015, Adamson joined Northern Tigers FC, marking the first significant step in his development. The club provided him with the platform to showcase his abilities, and he quickly established himself as a key player in the club’s youth squads. As he continued to excel, he was promoted to the Northern Tigers first-grade team in 2021, where he made 9 appearances at just 18 years old in the Covid impacted season. His career took another step forward when he joined the Sydney FC NPL squad in 2022, gaining valuable experience in a professional environment. Kealey was a key member of the Sydney FC squad that won the 2023 Australia Cup before moving on to sign a professional contract late in 2023 with A-League rival Macarthur FC. Kealey is now a key member of the Macarthur FC A-League squad, winning the Australia Cup again in 2024.

While his playing career evolves, Kealey has continued coaching at Northern Tigers, initially as a SAP Coach and now as the U13 Boys Youth Coach. 2025 will be Kealey’s fourth season of coaching and mentoring the next generation of Tigers players.

Northern Tigers FC Technical Director Jason Eagar is full of praise for Kealey “I am so pleased Kealey is being recognised at a national level with his selection into the Australian U23 squad for this camp. As a youth player Kealey was very competitive, very focused, very determined, with an unwavering work ethic. His transition from Youth football to Senior football to now being a professional player has been a wonderful journey to follow. Kealey is a true Tiger, continuing his link with the Club through coaching and inspiring the next generation of Tigers players.”

Congratulations Kealey!
